Louise Jeppson, 94, of Shelley slipped peacefully into the loving arms of Jesus, her Lord and Savior, Tuesday, January 10, 2017 at The Gables in Shelley.
She was born Gladys Louis Bonnifield to Charles Martin Bonnifield and Gladys Ellen Gordon Bonnifield December 19, 1922 in Dillon, Montana. She spent her childhood in Dillon, graduating in 1941 from Beaverhead County High School.
She went on to receive a Registered Nurse Degree from Saint Anthony School of nursing and University of Idaho.
She is a veteran of World War II serving in the 112th and 124th evacuation hospitals of the Army Nurse Corps. After discharge she continued in nursing primarily in pediatric, polio, emergency and cardiac care. Prior to her retirement, she was employed by the State of Idaho as an instructor of practical nurse students.
She is survived by her step son, Jim Jeppson, daughter, Judy Dain, seven grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ted Jeppson and daughter, Bonnie Lee.
Graveside services will be 3:00 p.m. Friday, January 13, 2017 at the Shelley Hillcrest Cemetery. Military rites will be performed by David B. Bleak Post 93 assisted by the Idaho Honor Guard. The family will receive friends Friday from 2:00 till 2:40 p.m. at Nalder Funeral Home (110 West Oak) in Shelley. There will be a memorial service in the summer when road conditions permit travel.
