Margaret "Peggy" Louise Jones

Margaret “Peggy” Louise Steele Jones, 84, of Shelley passed away July 24, 2022 at The Gables in Shelley.

She was born February 2, 1938 in Idaho Falls, Idaho to Dorothy and Marlon Steele.

On February 20, 1959 she married Gary Jones. They had four children; DeKarla, Marlin, Lance, and Angie.

Peggy lived in Shelley and was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

She worked for 25 years at Pillsbury and then for 10 years at Doors and More.

She loved crocheting, camping, fishing, and her kittens.

Peggy is survived by her children: DeKarla (Bud) Persing of Boring, Oregon; Marlin (Lisa) Jones of Idaho Falls; Lance Jones of Tremonton, Utah; Angie (Kirk) Andrus of Idaho Falls; sisters: Lawauna Kunz and Della Rae (Keith) Hessing; 12 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, and 4 great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and siter, Joyce Davis.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, July 27 2022 at the Shelley South Stake Center (675 South Milton). The family will meet with friends Wednesday morning from 10:00 till 10:40 A.M. at the church. Burial will be at 2:00 p.m. in the Cedron Cemetery in Victor, Idaho.
