Marilyn M. Jolley, 75, of Firth passed away peacefully May 26, 2011 at her home under hospice care.
She was born June 6, 1935 in Shelley, Idaho to Marion C. and Voilet Mitchell Esplin. She attended school in Shelley, Basalt, and graduated from Firth High School.
She married Merlyn D. Jolley in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple on December 7, 1956.
She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints where she served in the Primary, Young Womens and Relief Society Organizations. She also served with her husband in the Idaho Falls Temple.
She enjoyed oil painting, spending time outdoors in her garden, mowing her lawn and planting pink petunias. She looked forward to annual horseback trips into the remote areas of Idaho with friends and family. She enjoyed camping and spending time with her children and grandchildren, they always knew how much she loved them. She was a dedicated wife and mother.
She is survived by her husband, Merlyn D. Jolley of Firth; children, Janet (Todd) Nulph of Shelley; Kirk (Laurie) Jolley of Firth; and Susan Allred of Idaho Falls; 14 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers, Don, Leon, and Lamon Esplin.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday June 1, 2011 at the Kimball Ward Chapel (744 North 600 East) in Firth. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6:30 till 8:00 p.m. at Nalder Funeral Home, 110 West Oak Street in Shelley, and Wednesday morning from 9:30 till 10:40 at the church. Interment will be in the Firth Cemetery.
