It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Marilyn Hansen Sharp, an amazing woman, a beloved wife, a dedicated mother, and a cherished member of her church. She departed this life on Sep 23, 2023 at the age of 75, surrounded by her loving family.

Born on Nov 23, 1947, Marilyn was a remarkable woman who touched the lives of everyone within her reach. She was the devoted wife of Dr. Larry Sharp, and together they shared 56 years of enduring love and partnership.

As a mother, Marilyn was the cornerstone of her family's strength and unity. When it came to her children, there was nothing she would shy away from, nothing she would not do to bless their lives. She taught unwavering love, a belief in Jesus Christ and eternal families, and untiring selfless service. Whether service in her home, or service in her church and community, Marilyn spent her life working to bless the lives of others.

She leaves behind three adoring children, James Sharp, Jon Sharp, and Sarah Sperry. Her maternal love and guidance were unwavering and her legacy lives on in the hearts of her surviving children and grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Olive Hansen, and her oldest son, Michael Sharp, and his wife Juliann Sharp.

Marilyn will be remembered for her strength, her resilience, her unwillingness to give up, and her unwavering faith. She faced life's challenges with grace, courage, service, and love. Though her passing leaves behind a vacancy that can’t be filled, she left the world much much brighter than she found it.

Like Jesus Christ before her, she will live again, reunited with friends and family that have gone on before her, never again to be separated.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Friday, October 13, 2023 at the Shelley Hillcrest Cemetery (793 East 1200 North).  Arrangements are under the direction of Nalder Funeral Home.
