Mark Matthiesen

R. Mark Matthiesen,61, went home to his heavenly father on January 15, 2018. He was born in Salt Lake City, Utah on September 4, 1956 to Nephi and June Matthiesen.

He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

He married the love of his life, Cheryl Roberts on March 1, 2003. He helped raise her two children, Crystal Marie and Todd Michael Roberts.

He loved spending time making memories!! He loved fishing, hunting, riding his motorcycle and most of all his dogs. He was so proud of the fact that he had 32 years of sobriety!

He is survived by his wife Cheryl, children, Crystal Roberts of Wheat Ridge, Colorado, and Todd Roberts of Shelley, Idaho, Mom, June Matthiesen, sister, Suzanne (Greg) McMillan, Uncle Bob and Aunt EllaMae Matthiesen.

He was preceded in death by his Father Nephi, Brothers Monte and Christopher Matthiesen.

Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Saturday, January 20, 2018 at the Shelley South Stake Center (675 S Milton Ave.) with Bishop Kevin Crandall conducting. The family will meet with friends Saturday from 10:00 till 10:45 A.M. at the church. Burial will be in the Shelley Hillcrest Cemetery under the direction of Nalder Funeral Home.
