Mary Dean Schwenson Blake, 76, of Idaho Falls passed away August 3, 2017 at Turtle & Crane in Idaho Falls and with the care of Encompass Hospice.
Mary was born February 4, 1941 in Wendell. She married Johnny Dean Blake on March 18, 1960. After 20 years they later divorced. She then choose to move to Hagerman, Idaho where she had lived for 27 years. She then moved to Shelley, Idaho where she lived for two years.
Mary enjoyed going to church. She loved joy rides no matter where the road would take her. She enjoyed spending time with her lifelong friend Pattie Paine and watching her favorite shows that Elvis Presley and Shirley Temple was on.
Mary was a waitress and a CNA for Magic Valley Hospital in Twin Falls and also for Harolds Nursing Home in Buhl.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John & Dorthea Schwenson, sister, Violet Whitlock, brother, Johnny Schwenson, grandsons, Jake Blake, Michael Kepler, and a daughter, Charlotte Blake.
She is survived by two brothers, Jay and Jerry Schwenson, two sons, Jay (Stacy) Blake of Reno, Nevada, Gilbert (Laura) Blake of Hagerman, Idaho, three daughters, Debby (Danny) Burrell of Hagerman, Idaho, Kim (Bobby) Crystal of Shelley, Idaho, Khristine (Charles) Rudd of Hagerman, Idaho, 16 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
Memorial services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 16, 2017 at the Shelley Stake Center, 325 E Locust Street. Arrangements are under the direction of Nalder Funeral Home in Shelley.
