Mary Lou Miller

Mary Lou Miller, 78, of Chubbuck passed away April 30, 2007 at Portneuf Rehabilitation Center in Pocatello.

She was born October 29, 1928 in Boise, Idaho to Ebenezer L. and Lucille Greenwood Sutton.  She grew up working for her father at Sutton Grocery in Shelley, later moved to Renton, Washington, for a short time, where she worked at her father’s car dealership and then moved back to Idaho and worked on her family’s farm.  She graduated from Shelley High School.

On March 2, 1945 she married Kent L. Miller in Dillon, Montana.  They traveled some while he was in the Navy.  They spent their summers in Bear Lake and traveling with her brother.

Mary was a checker at Huntsman’s Grocery Store in Shelley for 25 years.  She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and belonged to the Eastern Star and the Riverview Grange.

She is survived by her husband, Kent Miller of Chubbuck, and their four children; Marilyn (Vern) Pitcher of Smithfield, Utah, Susan (Don) Brown of Los Alamos, New Mexico, JoAnn (Kay T) Anderson of Pocatello, Idaho, Steven Kent (Becky) Miller of Brigham City, Utah, sister-in-law, Marian Cade Sutton of Renton, Washington, 14 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, John F. Sutton.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Friday May 4th at Nalder Funeral Home (110 West Oak) in Shelley with Pastor John Robinson officiating. The family will receive friends Friday morning 9:30 till 10:40 at the funeral home.  Burial will be in the Fielding Memorial Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial donations be made to the Gate City Christian Church, 202 West Siphon Road, Chubbuck, Idaho  83201.
