Matthew S Mitchell

Matthew S Mitchell, 46, passed away on February 26, 2018 in Shelley, Idaho.

Matthew was born on March 15, 1971 in Idaho Falls, ID to Floyd Ray (Skip) Mitchell and Sherri Berrett. Matthew was the youngest of six children.

Matthew grew up attending schools in Idaho, Utah and Nevada. He graduated in 1989 from Escalante High School in Utah.

Matt’s hobbies were blacksmithing, Scottish History and studying historical battles. He enjoyed reading the scripture’s and caring for animals. To Matt a stranger was a friend that he hadn’t had the chance to meet yet. He was always willing to lend a helping hand and his greatest joy in life were his step-children and grandchildren.

Matthew was preceded in death by his parents and his oldest brother Rick Mitchell.
He is survived by siblings, Laurie (Anthony) Jaramillo, Robert (Tonia) Mitchell, Rory (Jenifer) Mitchell, Ronda Barney.

The family will meet with friends Saturday, March 3, 2018 from 2:00 till 4:00 P.M. at the Shelley 10th Ward Chapel, 1555 N 700 E Shelley, Idaho 83274. Arrangements are under the direction of Nalder Funeral Home.
