Michael Frank Rogers, 53, of Firth passed away July 22, 2018 of natural causes.
Mike was born December 10, 1964 in Berlin, Germany to Arthur Carl Rogers and Edith Baerbel Tarnow. When he was three years old his family moved to Fort Benning in Georgia. Mike attended schools in Alaska, Firth, Idaho, and graduated from high school in DuBios, Pennsylvania.
Mike joined the United States Navy in 1984 and retired in 2008 as a Chief Petty Officer. He was very proud of his military service.
On November 13, 1994 Mike married Lisa Corso in San Diego, California. They had two daughters and were later divorced.
He was a volunteer fire fighter on the Firth Fire Department and served on the Firth City Council. He was a member of the Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter Day Saints.
He spent his spare time fishing and playing darts. He had many friends he meet from various Dart Leagues and competitions. He was an outgoing person and would do anything for anybody. He never met a stranger. Every year he organized and served a community dinner for Senior Citizens in Firth. His best friend was Bruce Anthony and he loved the entire Anthony family.
Mike is survived by his two daughters, Caitlyn Rogers and Christyna Rogers of San Diego, California, mother, Edith Rogers of Firth, sisters, Catleen Simmons of Altoona, Pennsylvania and Susan (Jeff) Lumpkins of Firth.
He was preceded in death by his father, Arthur and sister, Heidi Stephanie Rogers.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 27, 2018 at the Kimball Ward Chapel, 744 N 600 E in Firth. The family will receive friends Friday morning from 9:30 till 10:40 a.m. at the church. Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, July 28th at the Firth Cemetery with military rites performed by David B. Bleak Post 93 and the Navy Honor Guard.
