Michelle Lynn Nelson

Michelle Lynn Nelson, 28, of Basalt passed away peacefully on Friday April 26, 2013 after a valiant struggle with multiple medical issues.

Michelle was born June 3, 1984 to Mike and Kathy Nelson.  She was a 2002 graduate of Firth High School.

Those who knew Michelle will remember her for her great love of family.  She enjoyed creating reasons for the family to all get together.  Michelle loved caring for people in her years as a CNA.  She loved animals and the outdoors.  Her niece and nephews were very dear to her and she spent every moment she could with them.

Michelle is survived by her mother, Kathy Nelson of Basalt and siblings Lori (Scott) Schneider, Tina Collins, Nathan (Misty) Collins all of Idaho Falls, Michael Nelson of Basalt, and Mark Nelson of Genessee, ID; 9 nephews, 1 niece, and 2 great-nephews, and grandmothers, Juanita Jones and Rhea Nelson.

She was preceded in death by her father, Michael Nelson, her grandfathers, Francis “Buck” Nelson and D D Jones, and her Great Grandma, Melba Fisher.

Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, April 30, 2013 at the Firth Stake Center (823 N 675 E) in Basalt. The family will meet with friends Monday evening from 7:00 till 8:30 P.M. at Nalder Funeral Home (110 West Oak) in Shelley and Tuesday morning from 9:30 till 10:40 A.M. at the church. Burial will be in the Basalt Cemetery.
