Neva Wright Nalder

Neva Wright Nalder, 82, of Rigby, passed away quietly at Good Samaritan Nursing Home on Sunday, August 28, 2011.

Neva was born on July 2, 1929 in Idaho Falls, Idaho to Orice B. and Zelda Williams Wright.  She was the third child and only daughter.  She lived in Shelley and Idaho Falls, and graduated from Idaho Falls High School.

She met the love of her life, Dean Nalder, while she was working for a short time at Old Faithful Beverage Company.  They were married March 7, 1947 in Shelley, Idaho.  Their marriage was later solemnized in the Idaho Falls Temple on May 17, 1979.  They lived in Idaho Falls and later made their permanent home in Rigby.  To their union they added four children, Pam, Penny, Dale & Fred.

Neva was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Later Day Saints all of her life and served in many callings.

She and her husband, Dean owned and operated the Napa Auto Store know as Rigby Auto Parts on State Street in Rigby for 13 years.

She enjoyed being with her husband and spending time with her children and grandchildren.  She was well known for the photo albums and histories that she kept of family and friends.

She is survived by her four children, Pam (Jim) Downard of Rigby; Penny (Dave) Larsen of Ririe; Dale (Pam) Nalder of Boise; and Fred J. Nalder of Beverly Hills, California; brothers, Roger B. (Connie) Wright of Farmington, Utah; and Kenneth (Karen) Wright of Fresno, California; 11 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Dean, parents, four brothers, Kay, Dean, Fred, and Larry Wright, and two infant grandsons.

Funeral Services will be 11:00 A.M. Friday September 2, 2011 at the Rigby East Stake Center (4021 E 300 N) with Bishop Ron Young conducting. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 7:00 till 8:30 P.M. and Friday morning 10:00 till 10:45 A.M. before the services both at the church.  Interment will be in the Ririe Shelton Cemetery under the direction of Nalder Funeral Home in Shelley.
