Patricia Anne Gonzales, 82, began her new journey, reuniting with beloved family and friends on February 5th, 2025.
She was born October 10th, 1942 in Roberts, ID to Waldo and Wilma Lundburg. In early childhood, her parents and 7 children moved around frequently due to dad working for the railroad. Settling in Goshen, ID in 1951. She had many fond memories of playing softball with her sisters, having her dad as the umpire and spending time outside with her 6 siblings.
Patricia graduated from Firth High School and went on to marry her sweetheart Ventura (Ben) Gonzales in 1962. In 1963, they started their family welcoming Rayne, Jay, Randall (Daniel) and Laura. The family lived in multiple places throughout East Idaho; Idaho Falls, Osgood, Woodville and finally Shelley where they made their home.
Patricia worked as a nursing assistant, ward clerk, nurse staffing coordinator and secretery at Sacred Heart, Idaho Falls Consolidated Hospitals and Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center where she gained many, many friends. Retiring in 2006, she and Ben traveled any and everywhere to see family and friends. She adored her family, calling and checking on even the most distant family members very often. Being a mother and grandmother was her greatest accomplishment. But becoming a great grandmother was by far the highest honor she held. She was SO PROUD of being a Gigi to her 17 great-grandbabies.
Patricia is survived by her husband, Ventura (Ben) of almost 63 years. Her 3 children; Rayne Gonzales, Randee (Heather) Gonzales and Laura (Jimmy) Lewis, all of Shelley, Idaho. 8 grandchildren; Joshua, Shayce, Amber, Brittni, Jaydan, Ellie, Macie and Holden. Whom gifted her 17 great-grandchildren. A brother in-law, Tony Gonzales. And many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her siblings; Merrill, Kaye, Gayle, Willie, Don and Sheldon. Son, Jay Gonzales. Great-granddaughter, Kinnley Gonzales. And many brother and sister in-laws, aunts and uncles.
The family wishes to give special thanks to Carol, Al, Precilla and Jay for all their love, support and selflessness. Thank you for always making a point to love and care for our mom and dad. She loved and appreciated you all more than you know.
Per her personal request, no funeral will be held. Graveside services will be held in late spring. A Celebration of Life may be held at a later time.
