Patsy married the late Robert Vernon Chabis where they lived and raised their children in the Firth area. From that marriage she had three children: Barbara Jean Rosenkrance (Steve), Firth, ID, Deborah Ann Nakamura, Idaho Falls, ID, and Robert Eugene Chabis, Idaho Falls, ID. Patsy was later married to Robert Eugene Rupe where they lived in American Falls, ID. From that marriage she was blessed with a cherished step-daughter, Bonnie Marie (Rupe) Hensley.
Patsy’s biggest happiness in life was her children, grandchildren, companion and friends. She leaves behind 12 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren, all of who will miss her dearly.
Patsy was a devoted stay at home mom most of her life. After her children were grown, she worked at Lamb Weston in American Falls, ID, where she retired.
After retirement she moved to Montana and spent the biggest part of her later years with her best friend and loving companion Marvin Hayes in Whitehall, Montana. Patsy lived at the Gables in Idaho Falls, ID at the time of her death.
In her early years Patsy was a great cook. Her cinnamon rolls, pumpkin chocolate chip cookies and sugar cookies were her signature treats to her family and friends. Patsy also enjoyed dancing the jitterbug, country music, rodeos, crafts and doing ironing for family and friends. In her later years she simply loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, friends and nurturing her precious dog, Wiggles.
Patsy cherished the Lord and enjoyed attending the Waterspings Church in Idaho Falls, ID.
She was a cup full of love to everyone she knew. She was the kind of person who gave without thinking and loved without hesitation. To know her was to love her.
