Pedro Ramos Lopez

Pedro Ramos Lopez, 57, of Basalt passed away April 29, 2019 at his home after a courageous battle with cancer.

Pedro was born June 29, 1961 in Las Ranas, Michoacan, Mexico to Pedro Lopez Sr. and Ester Agular.

In March of 2000 he married Shawnae Marie Monson in Basalt, Idaho. They were later sealed for time and all eternity in the Idaho Falls temple on April 10, 2019

Pedro worked at Idaho Supreme Potatoes for 33 years. He liked that it was so close to his little home, he would walk to work whenever he could.

He became a U.S. Citizen in Boise, Idaho on January 5, 2012. He loved raising goats and his chickens. He loved his Basalt Ward family. He always wanted our children to strive and succeed in their education.

Pedro is survived by his wife, Shawnae of Basalt, daughter, Crystal Lyn Lopez of Blackfoot, son, Pedro Lopez III of Shelley, step daughter, Brittany Nicole Empey of Ammon, son, Alexander Lopez of Basalt, daughter, Amanda Joy Lopez of Basalt, stepson, David Aguirre, parents, Pedro Lopez Sr. and Ester Agular of Mexico, nine siblings and two grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Friday, May 3, 2019 at the Firth Stake Center (823 N 675 E) in Basalt. The family will meet with friends Thursday evening from 6:00 till 7:30 P.M. at Nalder Funeral Home (110 West Oak) in Shelley and Friday morning from 9:30 till 10:40 A.M. at the church. Burial will be in the Goshen Cemetery.
