Phyllis M. Taylor, 87, of Shelley, passed away February 4, 2011 at Idaho Falls Health and Rehabilitation Center in Idaho Falls.
She was born October 22, 1923 in Ashton, Idaho to Perry and Olga Olson Thompson. She attended elementary school in Ashton then attended school in Idaho Falls graduating from Idaho Falls High School.
She married Howard L. Taylor April 9, 1941 in Coeur de’Alene, Idaho. She lived her whole life in Idaho except for 4 years in which she lived in the State of Washington. She traveled all over the U.S. with her husband when he was in the military in WWII.
She worked at Pillsbury as a Lab Technician. She was a member of the Shelley United Methodist Church where she helped establish the food bank and was active in the quilting organization. She was also the kitchen coordinator for the church. Phyllis enjoyed gardening and taking care of her roses. She also loved to cook and bake for family and friends.
She is survived by her children; Janet Taylor of Idaho Falls, Sheila (Scott) Nadauld of Idaho Falls, Lamont (Annie) Taylor of Challis, grandson Jared (Michelle) Nadauld and one great grandson Ethan Nadauld, sisters, Jean Brewer of Anchorage, Alaska, Lucy McMahon of Modesto, CA, Margaret Carpenter of Sandy, UT and a sister-in-law, Betty Thompson of Dairy, OR
She was preceded in death by her. parents, her husband, her twin brother Phillip, and 4 other brothers, 1 sister, Edna Marshall.
Graveside services will be 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, February 8, 2011 at Fielding Memorial Cemetery with Pastor Michael Eld, officiating. The family will receive friends Tuesday morning from 10:00 till 10:45 at Nalder Funeral Home (110 West Oak) in Shelley.
