Queta Rae Tolman

January 10, 1957 — April 3, 2025

Queta Rae Wagoner Tolman was born January 10, 1957 in Moses Lake, Washington. She was the first daughter and second child of Dwain and Sally (Marian) Wagoner. When she was about six months old they relocated to the south end of Idaho Falls. As a child and teen, she loved being outdoors and doing anything with horses. Twister and Joe were her favorites. Her siblings have always been her closest friends and companions. From a very young age she was elegance, grace and all things country.

After graduating from Skyline High School in 1975 she attended ISU in Pocatello where she met her eternal companion, Lloyd. After four months he promised to buy her a horse and they were engaged. On June 25th, 1976 they were married in the Idaho Falls Idaho Temple. Over the next few years, they lived in Pocatello, Idaho, Moreland, Idaho, Trenton, Utah and Pingree, Idaho all while adding four children and a horse to their family and making many life-long friends along the way. In 1990 they relocated to a dairy in Rose, Idaho. They worked the cows and Queta started her nearly 35 year career at Melaleuca. In 1995 they moved one last time to Basalt, Idaho.

Over the last 40 years she spent countless hours helping her children with 4-H projects like sewing, baking and dairy cows and multiple school activities. She also drove too many hours to count to attend ball games and music recitals. She continued this love and dedication with her grandchildren.

She spent her life serving and loving others. Once you were a friend you became a friend forever and in many cases family. Nothing made her happier than giving thoughtful gifts and loving acts of service to brighten someone’s day. No one loved or laughed like her.

She passed away peacefully, on April 3rd, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.

She is preceded in death by her father, Dwain Wagoner, sister-in-law, Cheryl Wagoner, brother-in-law, Sam Holder and sister-in-law, Linda Dial Stoehr.

She is survived by mother, Sally Wagoner, siblings, Alan Wagoner, Kim and Diana Wagoner, Wendy Holder, Shane Wagoner, her husband, Lloyd, children, Brianne Tolman, Jena and Joe Wilcox, Tenille and Shawn Ray, Trevor and Chantell Tolman, adopted daughter, LeAnne Lawless, nine grandchildren and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
