After a long and productive life, our beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend Robert Vaughn Anderson passed away peacefully at home, Sunday August 28, 2011 from Multiple Myeloma.
He was born Sept. 2, 1924 to S.L. (Bill) and Marvel Schoenhuth Anderson. He was the oldest of three children. He attended schools in Qsgood and Shelley, graduating from Shelley High School in 1942. He served in the United States Marines from 1943 to 1945, during World War II and was honorably discharged.
He married Dona Campbell on Jan. 14, 1948. To this union 4 sons were born. Their marriage was solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple in May 1965. They were later divorced.
He owned and operated Anderson Blacksmith and Anderson’s Rock Shop. He also established Androc Enterprises, Inc. He could repair most anything and he enjoyed sharing his talent and knowledge of rocks with everyone. He loved being active and being outdoors.
He married Bette McMurtrey on May 14, 1992. She passed away April 9, 2001.
He married Jeanine Davis on Sept. 27. 2002. They enjoyed working together in their yard which was always well-groomed and very beautiful. He was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Days Saints, holding several Church callings throughout his lifetime.
He is survived by his wife Jeanine Anderson, four sons, Greg (Terry) Anderson of Basalt, Neil (Terry) Anderson of Shelley, Robert Anderson of West Jordon, Utah, Bart Anderson of Richland, Wash. Nine step-children, Daren(Debbie) Davis of Orem, Utah, Brian Davis of Salt Lake City, Utah, Shari (Terry) Miller of Hyrum, Utah, Garlyn (Jill) Davis , Hyrum, Utah, Carlie (Berk) Buttars of Idaho Falls, Krayton (Misty) Davis, Richmond, Va., Laurine (Lou) Riepl, Boise, Id., Reuel (Renee) Davis, Of Boise, Id., Thaylon (Kristine) Davis of Salt Lake City, Ut. 15 Grandchildren and 24 Great-great children, 38 step-grandchildren, and 42 step-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Marvel Bradley, and a brother Richard Anderson.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Friday September 2

at the Shelley Eighth Ward Chapel (184 North Park Ave). The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 7:00 till 8:30 P.M. at Nalder Funeral Home (110 West Oak) in Shelley and Friday morning 9:30 till 10:40 A.M. at the church. Interment will be in the Shelley Hillcrest Cemetery. Military rites will be preformed by the David B. Bleak Post 93 of Shelley assisted by the Idaho Honor Guard.
