In the early hours of June 4th Heaven gained a pair of precious wings and our family lost another gem. RaeLynn Gallup Stewart was called home to a beautiful reunion with her family that went before her. RaeLynn was born March 20, 1963, to Russell and Beverly Gallup. Rae, as she was known by all that loved her, graduated from Shelley High School. She had many friends and was loved by many as she grew up. She worked at the Virginia Theater as a teenager, she loved getting to see the movies. She also worked at Pillsbury, The Shelley Pioneer, and of course her caring heart led her to work at the Aschlimans Care Center.
In 1983 she was introduced to her best friend, giving birth to her daughter Jamie. They were inseparable and did everything together. Then in spring of 1992 RaeLynn was set up on a blind date by her mom. That was when she met her soul mate, Roy Stewart. In November that year they were married. They were blessed with two more beloved children, Andrew and Kiley. Both of them made Rae proud in different ways every day. Rae was a devoted mom and said that being a mom was her best job.
Rae loved spending time with her family. Her, her mom, and brother became like the three amigos. They finished each other’s sentences and had inside jokes no one ever will know. RaeLynn helping care for her mom in Beverly’s later years was admired by all and a true blessing for the family.
RaeLynn is survived by her husband Roy. Children Jamie (David) Turner, Andy (Megan) Stewart, and Kiley Stewart, all of Shelley. Siblings Becky (Jerry) Ridgel of Tickfaw Louisiana, Larry (Alexia) Henrie of American Fork Utah. Twin brother Russell (Kelli) Gallup of Jerome, Kevin Henrie of Utah, and sister-in-law Lori Gallup of Shelley as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, sisters Holly Sievers, Debbie Henderson, and brothers Scott Gallup and Michael Gallup.
Memorial services will be Friday June 17th at 11:00 AM at Nalder Funeral Home, 110 W Oak Street in Shelley. The service will be broadcast live on Nalder Funeral Home's Facebook page. The family will receive friends Friday morning from 10:00 to 10:45 A.M. at the funeral home.
