Ranae Fowler Hale, 64, of Shelley, passed away June 9, 2006 at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center from a massive brain hemorrhage.
She was born February 7, 1942 in Idaho Falls, Idaho to Delbert and Florence Wiseman Fowler. She attended schools in Pocatello, Idaho and graduated in 1960 from Pocatello High School. She then attended ISU in Pocatello.
On February 1, 1962 she married Garen Hale in the Idaho Falls, Idaho LDS Temple. They made their home in Brigham City, Utah and later in Logan, Utah where she worked at USU while her husband attended the university. After his graduation, they moved to Miami, Florida where her husband worked on a Masters Degree. They later returned to Pocatello, Idaho and then to Idaho Falls where her husband taught Spanish at Idaho Falls High School. They also lived in Rigby and Shelley, Id. She was a co-owner of Classic Homes Realty in Idaho Falls and worked at INL for many years, retiring in 2001.
She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in Primary, Relief Society and was the Ward Organist for many years. She and her husband served a Welfare Services Mission for the LDS Church in Ecuador from 2002 to 2004.
Ranae enjoyed writing novels, playing the piano, gardening, photography, and especially photography in Family History.
She enjoyed her children and grandchildren and was loved by all her family. She was survived by her husband of 44 years, 8 children: Kari (Steve) Ciambrone of Castaic, California, Dennis (Cheryl) Hale of Bluffdale, Utah, Tanya (Darren) Loosle of West Jordan, Utah, Justin (Lanae) Hale of Shelley, Lisa (Michael) Hanson of Bluffdale, Utah, Laurie Hale of Shelley, Jared (Shirley) Hale of Provo, Utah and Tara Hale of Bluffdale, Utah, 18 grandchildren: Lauren, Michael, Kaysi, Megan, Samantha, Lindsay, Sydney, Austin, Cameron, Allison, Madilyn, Amber, Ethan, Seth, Emilee, Rachel, Grant and Colten. One brother, Kenneth Fowler of Scenic, Arizona and one sister, Janice Wade of Ogden, Utah.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral services will be held Monday June 12th at 1:00 P.M. at the Shelley Eighth Ward Chapel (184 North Park) with Bishop Lynn Beck conducting. The family will receive friends Sunday evening 6:00 till 7:30 P.M. at Nalder Funeral Home (110 W. Oak) in Shelley and Monday morning 11:30 till 12:40 A.M. at the church. Interment will be at the Shelley Hillcrest Cemetery.
