Robbie Burns King

Robbie Sue Burns King, 64, of Shelley, passed away Dec. 11, 2008 at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.

She was born Sept. 20, 1944 in Grand Prairie, Texas to Bob and Bertie Burns.  She grew up in Fort Worth, Texas and attended school in the area and graduated from Polytechnic High School.

She married Bobby King in 1963 and settled in Fort Worth.  They had three children.  She was very active in the community.  She was involved in Fort Worth Youth Hockey Association for several years.  She worked for the family business A-1 Electric Motor Service early in life and later owned the business with her son.  In 1996, she and Bobby moved to Idaho and settled in Shelley.  She worked as a legal secretary for Swafford Law Office for the last twelve years.

Survivors include her husband Bobby of Shelley, her mother Bertie Burns of Fort Worth, Texas, her sisters Johnnie Niemann (Bill) of Hot Springs Village, Arkansas, ReJeania Thily (Daniel) of Dallas, Texas, her children Rob King (Carolyn) of Fort Worth, Texas, Cobi King (Cheryl) of Shelley, RoLena Christy King-Dewveall (Scott) of Blackfoot and five grandchildren Kendrick King, Trey King, Blake Dewveall, Preston King and Adyson King. 

She was preceded in death by her father, Bob Burns.

Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday Dec. 16, at Nalder Funeral Home (110 West Oak) in Shelley.  The family will visit with friends at 10:00 till 10:45 AM prior to the service at the funeral home.  Burial will be in the Shelley Hillcrest Cemtery.
