Robert Kay Brown, 76, of Firth passed away January 14, 2008 at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center in Idaho Falls from complications due to a stroke.
He was born July 2, 1931 in Shelley, Idaho to Arthur Lewis and Opal Grace John Brown the second of six children. He grew up in Goshen and graduated from Firth High School.
Kay served in the Air Force during the Korean War. He retired from AMCOR in 1996 after 30 years of driving truck.
On August 27, 1966 he married Fern McCarrel in Blackfoot, Idaho.
He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
He enjoyed camping and spending time with his family.
He is survived by he wife Fern Brown of Firth, children; Steve (Maryann) Brown and Rich (Terry) Brown of Idaho Falls, Tina (Ben) Thomas of Boise and Tana (Ross) Kellogg of Salmon, 10 grandchildren and one great grandchild, brothers; Henry (Mary) Brown and Dean (Joy) Brown, sisters; Norma (Irv) Scott, Faye (Max) Howell, and Sharon (Bill) Ormond. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral Services will be 11:00 A.M. Friday January 18, 2008 at the Firth Ward Chapel (744 North 600 East). The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 7:00 till 8:30 P.M. at Nalder Funeral Home (110 West Oak) in Shelley and Friday morning 9:30 till 10:40 A.M. at the Church. Interment will be in the Goshen Cemetery.
In Lieu of flowers the family suggest donations be made to the Huntsman Cancer Institute, 500 Huntsman Way, Salt Lake City, Utah 84108.
