Robert Louis Shafer

Robert Louis Shafer, 81, of Firth passed away February 4, 2007 at his home.

He was born November 4, 1925 in Beyers, Colorado to Charles Anthony and Lillian Rhyne Shafer.  He served in the United States Marine Corps during Word War II.  He was wounded in Okinawa and received the Purple Heart.

On November 21, 1945 he married Norma Moss in Ogden, Utah.

He was the commander of the Shelley Post American Legion.  He owned his own mechanic shop in Firth for 17 years.

He is survived by his wife Norma Shafer, son, Steven L. (Laraine) Shafer, two daughters, Linda Lee (Frank) Fuel and Kathleen (Robert) Beckwith all of Firth, 8 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

Private Memorial Services will be held at a later date.
