Roger Kent Payne

February 20, 1941 — December 26, 2020

Roger Kent Payne was born February 20, 1941 in Idaho Falls, Idaho and passed away December 26, 2020. Roger was born to Stanley and Alda Talbot Payne. His father died when he was 1 ½ years old. Alda married Fred William Colson when Roger was young.

He was married to Jeanette Dockstader and had two children, Terri and Kent. They later divorced. He then married Peggy Hansen Walton. After Peg passed away he married Karon Eborn.

Roger was a quiet man. He liked to do wood carvings, make wooden toys, tinmen, word search puzzles and he enjoyed the Talbot Family reunions.

He and Karon enjoyed traveling to many different destinations on guided tours. They spent many summers in Bear Lake at the Ranch. They had weekly lunch dates, whether they drove 10 miles or 100’s of miles. One of his great pleasures was plowing snow with his 4 Wheeler and the neighbors all benefited from this.

He is survived by his wife Karon, his brothers Melvin Payne, Bill Colson and Jim Colson, his step sons Steve Hansen, Ron Hansen, Larry Walton, Kelly Eborn, Craig Eborn, and Blaine Eborn, his step daughters Tamara Flores, Cindy Goff, Evalyn Adams, and Natalie Walton.
