Ronald Keith Dees

Ronald Keith Dees, 72, of Shelley passed away October 3, 2009 surrounded by his family at Idaho Falls Health and Rehabilitation Center.

Ronald was born September 15, 1937 in Idaho Falls to Eldon M. and Anna Christina Shell Dees.  He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and was sealed to his family in the Idaho Falls Temple.

He was raised in Lewisville and later built his home in Taylor.  He worked at the Post Office for Thirty years.  He married Kathleen Maria Butler on June 10, 1972 and they had five children.

Ron loved his family first but also had a great love for horses, country music, and telling big fish stories.

He is survived by his wife Kathy, their children: Scott (Sheryl) Dees, Ronda (Rlynn) Wickel, Tiffany (Jeff) Gorzitze, Travis Dees and Melanie Arnold.  He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and his siblings Eddy (Shirley) Dees, Kenneth (Michelle) Dees, and Joann (Dale) Austin.  He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, October 7, 2009 at the Taylor Ward Chapel (1101 East 1250 North). The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 7:00 till 8:30 p.m. at Nalder Funeral Home (110 West Oak) in Shelley and Wednesday morning 10:00 till 10:40 A. M. at the church. Burial will be in the Taylor Cemetery.
