Ronald Neil Staples

Ronald Neil Staples passed away on August 22, 2013 at Bingham Memorial Hospital in Blackfoot ID.

He was born July 11, 1956 to Wilford Neil Staples and Verla Staples Nelson. He grew up in Firth ID., where he attended school and graduated from Firth High School in 1974.  He was a member of the FFA and enjoyed raising sheep and participating in church basketball.

He married Barbara Caplinger in 1984. They had three children. Jennifer France, Veronica Staples, and Jacob Staples.  They were later divorced. On April 10, 2004 he married Jean Ann Borchart and extended his family to include three more children.  Eddie Beckman, Carma Spencer and Benny Russell. Also 17 grandchildren that he loved very much.

He was a member of the LDS church and attended The Home Ranch LDS Ward in Idaho Falls, ID.  He enjoyed activities at the church where he was making new friends and meeting new challenges daily.

As a truck driver he worked at Cox Farms, Firth Mill & Elevator, Idaho Supreme, GPOD and Western Transport. He enjoyed horses, gardening, fishing, hiking, and going to the coffee shop to visit with the guys. He also loved spending time with his dogs, Chopper and Molly.

He is survived by his wife Jean Staples and his children: Jennifer France, Veronica Staples, Jacob Staples, Eddie Beckman, Carma Spencer and Benny Russell. Four brothers:  Kenneth (Kelly) Staples, Robert Staples, Jamie Staples and Doug (Stacey) Staples.  Three sisters:  Maryanne (Eric) Staples, Catherine (Mark) Staples, and Jeanette Jorgensen.

He was preceded in death by his father Wilford Neil Staples and his mother Verla Evelyn Staples Nelson.

Graveside services will be held at the Goshen Cemetery Monday August 26, 2013 at 11:00 A.M.  The family will meet with family and friends at Nalder Funeral Home (110 West Oak) in Shelley from 9:30 to 10:30 and then travel to Goshen Cemetery for the services.
