Ronald Kay Russell

Ronald Kay Russell, 79, passed away November 11, 2023.

He was born on February 3, 1944 in Idaho Falls to Edward Jackson and Hazel Vinona Taysom Russell.  He graduated from Shelley High School in 1964.

Ron was drafted into the U.S. Army and served from 1965 to 1967.

He married Peggy Taylor on January 15, 1971. They were later divorced.

Ron worked at RT French Company, Pillsbury, and Basic American Foods. He worked for 33 years until 2001 when he became ill.

His favorite pastime was golf, fishing, and following the stock market.

Ron is survived by his five children, Darci Russell of Ammon; Kimberlie (Mike) Wilson of California; Lori (Josh) Hickey of Utah; Derek Russell of Idaho Falls; Sarah Russell of Utah; and seven grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings, Eloyce Russell Talamantez and Dale (Mary) Russell.

He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Twila Russell Humphries, Gerald Russell, LaVoy Russell, and Delwin Russell.

Graveside services will be held 11:00 A.M. Friday, November 17, 2023 at the Shelley Hillcrest Cemetery with military rites by the American Legion, David B. Bleak Post 93 and the Idaho Army Honor Guard. The family will meet with friends Friday morning from 9:30 till 10:30 A.M. at Nalder Funeral Home (110 West Oak) in Shelley.
