Roy Papke

Roy A. Papke passed away in Idaho Falls Idaho on December 30, 2009 at the age of 88. 

He was born on September 5

th

1921 in Waukesha Wisconsin to Herbert L. Papke and Clara Meyer.  He served in the Navy during World War II.  Roy married Beatrice W. Frank May 25

th

1949 in Waukesha Wisconsin.  Their marriage was later solemnized in the LDS Salt Lake City Utah Temple. 

Roy and his family moved to Shelley Idaho in 1972 where he purchased and published the Shelley Pioneer Newspaper.  He also sold Insurance and developed land in the area. After his retirement Roy and Bea served missions for the LDS Church in England, Dallas Texas, Nigeria Africa, and Ireland.  

Roy is survived by his sweetheart Beatrice, and children Jill (Terry) Wade and Jeff (Leslie) Papke, 15 Grandchildren and 14 Great Grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Earl, a Daughter Gail and son Gary.

Street). The family will receive friends Saturday morning from 10:30 till 11:40 A.M. at the church.  Interment will be in the Shelley Hillcrest Cemetery under the direction of Nalder Funeral Home (110 West Oak) in Shelley.
