Rue Thomas Stears

Rue Thomas Stears, 95, of Idaho Falls passed away July 12, 2016 at his home under hospice care.

He was born May 2, 1921 in Shelley, Idaho to Thomas and Montez Vest Stears.

He attended schools in Shelley and Idaho Falls, graduating from Central High School.

He served as a Radioman 1

Class in the United States Navy during World War II in the South Pacific.

Rue married Dorothy A Robison in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple on March 15, 1950.

She preceded him in death in 2001.

He was an electrician and worked on EBR1 at the INL.

He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

He enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Rue is survived by his children, Thomas E. (Marcia) Stears of Twin Falls and Patricia L. Stears of Idaho Falls, six grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, siblings, Len Stears, Elven Stears, and Edna Bunnell.

Graveside services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 16, 2016 at the New Sweden Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday morning from 9:30 till 10:30 a.m. at Nalder Funeral Home (110 West Oak) in Shelley.
