Ruth Evelyn Kimball, 89, of Shelley, died July 27, 2007, at a friends home in Shelley of natural causes. She was under the wonderful, loving care of the Aspen Group Hospice along with loving friends and family.
She was born November 25, 1917 just outside of Phoenix, Arizona to Wilfred John and Myrtle Brotherton Wayne. The family moved to California when she was fourteen months old. She married John R. Kimball on May 18, 1936 in Escondido, California. They were later sealed in the Los Angeles Temple. She lived in California most of her life, her family moved up and down the coast following the fruit crops where they picked and graded all sorts of fruit when she was a youngster.
She worked in an aircraft plant in San Diego, Ca. for many years and when she retired her and her husband did a lot of traveling around in a travel trailer. Then she moved to Idaho in 1988 when her husband, John R. Kimball, passed away (to be close to her family).
She loved her family as well as all those around her wherever she was. She enjoyed fishing, camping, traveling, and especially going to the Temple of The Lord. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served in many capacities, but her true love was the Primary Organization. She served as a Stake Missionary and served an eighteen-month mission at the Family History Library in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Her family includes her daughter, Ruthelda (Garth) Holm of Shelley, granddaughter, Robin (John) Burroughs of Blackfoot, step-grandchildren, David (Vonda) Holm of Monte Vista, Colorado, Norman, (Debra) Holm of Nampa, Idaho, and Deborah (David) Trubey of Lake Mary, Florida.
