Sheron Lee Schlafke

Sheron Lee Gress Schlafke, 67, of Idaho Falls, Idaho, passed from this earth into our Fathers hands on Monday, March 14

th

.  Sharon was cared for by Hands of Hope Hospice and Life Care Center Nursing Home at the time of passing, and was surrounded by family and close loving friends during her bout with a lengthy illness that has taken her from us.

There will be no services in accordance with Sheron’s wishes but a Memorial in her honor will be scheduled at a later date.

Sheron served her country in the U.S. Naval Hospital Corp during the Viet Nam era, and was employed by Sacred Heart Hospital and Teton Radiology for many years before retiring to enjoy time with her husband and family.  Sharon’s joys were golfing, gardening, fishing, the outdoors, family and friends and will be missed by all.

Surviving members of her family are husband, C. Paul Schlafke, brother, Jack Gress (Forsyth, MT), step-daughters, LeeAnn and Kay as well as granddaughter, Kim, and great-grandsons Justin and Dylan.

A special heartfelt thank you goes to all of Sheron’s loving friends that have and continue to support her family through this time of loss.  A special thank you goes out to Audra Burgerner, Susan Beehler, and all of the staff of Hands of Hope for their support and loving care of Sheron through her struggle with her incurable illness.

In lieu of flowers, the family wishes donations be made to Hands of Hope to support their future efforts in caring for those in need.
