Stephanie Michelle Scholes, 24, of Firth was taken to her Heavenly Father on January 23, 2007. She passed away at the University of Utah Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah due to a Pulmonary Embolism while recovering from a liver transplant.
Stephanie was born October 26, 1982 at Blackfoot, Idaho to Von Alvin and Rosemary Stephens Scholes. She was well received and well loved by her 5 older brothers.
She was a smart and talented girl. While in High School she earned her CNA certification and enjoyed playing volleyball. Stephanie competed in a state wide competition for FHA and received a top Gold at that level. She competed two times nationally at a FHA Presentation Competition and received a Gold Award each year. She graduated from Firth High School in 2001. She attended both ISU and BSU.
She was actively involved in her wards. As a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints she earned her Young Women Recognition Medallions. She always enjoyed serving those around her, never wanting to be recognized for her efforts.
Her passions in life were spending time with her family, quilting, scrap booking and cleaning. She would do anything for her brother Ryan, including cleaning the Shelley Library, which she hated, so he could have a job. They enjoyed going to the movies together. She also enjoyed gardening, and especially loved flowers.
A recent liver transplant survivor, she learned to enjoy her health, when she was feeling well. Even in death she wanted to give to others. She did so by donating her organs to others, giving them the opportunity to survive.
Waiting to see her again are her parents, Von & Rose Scholes of Firth, Brothers; Alan of Pocatello, Robert (Cary) and niece, Cheyenne of Bottineau, ND, Bill (Linda) and nieces & nephew Samantha, Shane, & Alyssa of Boise, Ryan of Firth, and Mike (JayLyn) of Cleveland, OH. She was preceded in death by all her grandparents.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Saturday January 27th at the Firth Stake Center (823 North 675 East) in Basalt with President Michael Park of the Parkside Single Adult Branch conducting. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6:30 till 8:00 P.M. at Nalder Funeral Home (110 West Oak) in Shelley and Saturday morning 9:30 till 10:40 A.M. at the church. Interment will be in the Shelley Hillcrest Cemetery.
