Taylor Laurel Jeffries

Taylor Laurel Jeffries of Newport News, VA formerly of Shelley, ID passed away peacefully on May 25, 2006 at the age of five years. She is a shining example of enduring and longsuffering as she was diagnosed with a rare genetic disease known as Krabbe Leukodystrophy, a degenerative nerve disorder at the age of 11 months.

Taylor was born on July 25, 2000 to Dustin Jeffries and Maurita Lanoue.  Everyone that came in contact with Taylor was taught patience, long-suffering, endurance, and unconditional love from this brave little angel.  We will all remember her bright blue eyes, her sunshine smile, big juicy kisses and her coos.

Taylor is survived by her parents, Maurita and Peter Lanoue of Newport News, VA, Dustin and Jordan Jeffries of  Sheridan, WY, and a brother Jordan Peter Lanoue.  Taylor is also survived by Great-Grandparents, Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and many, many friends.

A big thanks to all who provided loving care to Taylor throughout her journey.  Included are many doctors, nurses, therapists, case workers and friends whose service gave great support to Taylor and Maurita.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday May 30th at the Shelley South Stake Center (675 S. Milton) by the Sugar Factory, with Bishop Shawn Leckington conducting.  There will be a viewing held from 9:30 a.m. to 10:40 a.m. at the Church. Interment will be in the Shelley Hillcrest Cemetery.
