Ted was born December 4th, 1969 to Ken Balmforth and Joyce Thompson Balmforth in Idaho Falls, Idaho.
He lived with his parents and siblings in Shelley, Idaho. Ted was big brother to three siblings, Mikal, Jackie and Casey. Because of complications at birth his abilities were very limited. Ted was a special gift to his family, teaching many lessons and especially the true meaning of unconditional love. The family will be forever grateful for the privilege of having Ted in their family.
At the age of 12, health conditions required him to be placed in the State School for the Special Needs in Nampa, Idaho. He remained there until he was 21. At that time a special angel came in to his life and Ted went to live in the home of Kevin and Vernice Freeman in Caldwell, Idaho. There he received the most loving care possible. His life was extended because of the impeccable care he received in their home. They loved him like their own son.
On July13 Ted was admitted to St. Luke’s Hospital in Boise, Idaho. He was treated there by loving and attentive doctors and nurses. The family would like to thank the staff of the hospital and the MICU there. Ted passed peacefully away July 19th, 2017 with his family by his side.
