She lived in York and attended schools in Osgood, Ammon, and Ucon.

She graduated from Ucon High School.

They loved traveling and were members of a square dancing club.

Ila worked for Skyline IGA and City Floral.

While working at City Floral she learned to love flower arranging and developed an interest in ceramics.

After the move to Mud Lake in 1970, she was able to achieve her dream of opening her own ceramic shop “Wilde Thing Ceramics”.

She and Don loved to travel to Arizona with friends for the winters.

She loved camping, fishing at Birch Creek, crafts and gardening.

Mom was happiest when there were grandkids to compete with and family to visit. She always had time for her grandkids and they feel very blessed she was their grandma.

Ila was a loving, caring person. She had a wonderful, honest spirit about her and never hesitated to speak her mind, which was an endearing quality to her family.
