Vera Cederberg Gentillon of Firth passed away October 4, 2017 at EIRMC in Idaho Falls, Idaho of natural causes.
Vera was born October 30, 1927 in Firth, Idaho to Bill Cederberg and Ebba Frederikson Cederberg. She grew up on the family farm on the Snake River and graduated from Firth High School in 1945.
On July 19, 1945, Vera married Albert Gentillon and they made their home on a farm just a mile up the river from where she spent her childhood and raised their four children, Judy, Jane, Jill and Alan. Vera was a people person who loved sewing, crafts, gardening, jigsaw puzzles, following the news, Facebook and playing Words With Friends with folks from across the country. She loved camping and traveling and visited every state in the union except for Hawaii. She traveled to Italy for her 70th birthday. She earned her travel money by working over 20 years at a part time job for Audits and Surveys. She also was a 70 year member of The Order of Eastern Star. Vera was very family oriented and loved being with them. She was an outstanding cook and was known for her dinner rolls, pies and home canned pickles. She also enjoyed her Tuesday lunches with her good friends Gloria, Laree, Susan and Jean.
Vera is survived by daughters Judy (Daniel) Colvin of Chula Vista CA, Jane (Lindsay) Crawford of Firth, Jill Gentillon of Idaho Falls, daughter-in-law Agnes Gentillon of Firth, brother Glenn Cederberg of Firth, three grandchildren Kimmberly Colvin of Salt Lake City, UT, Kristian Colvin of La Jolla, CA and Clarice Gentillon of Firth and great grandchildren Owen and Corra Colvin of La Jolla, CA and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Albert, son Alan, brothers Dallas Cederberg and Gayle Cederberg and a sister Carolyn Towne.
Funeral services will be held Monday, October 9 at 12:00PM at Nalder Funeral Home, 110 W. Oak St, Shelley, Idaho. The family will meet with friends Sunday, October 8 from 6:00-8:00PM at Nalder Funeral Home. Burial will be at 3PM at the Riverview Cemetery in Firth Idaho. The family would like to thank the outstanding medical teams at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center who treated Vera with the upmost care and kindness.
