Virginia Croft, 92, of Shelley died Monday, February 12, 2007 at the Mallory House in Idaho Falls.
Virginia was born April 23, 1914 in Shelley, Idaho to Heber and Sarah Byington Arave. She lived in Shelley her whole life with the exception of the last few years.
On July 1, 1933 she married Stanley Croft. Stanley died February 12, 1981.
Virginia was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
She worked as a cook at the Pashes and Dutch Treat Café in Shelley for many years.
She enjoyed making and piecing together quilt tops that were made into quilts for friends and family to enjoy for many years to come. She loved her dogs, they were the source of much joy and happiness to her. In Virginia’s later years she enjoyed working and associating with life long friends at the Shelley Senior Citizen Center.
Virginia will be greatly missed by all those who know and loved her.
She is survived by her nieces; Vey McNally of Idaho Falls, Mora Sayer of Shelley, and Carol Rupe of Blackfoot, nephews; Gene Summers of Pocatello and Boyd Summers of St. Anthony. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and 12 brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Thursday January 15th at Nalder Funeral Home (110 West Oak) in Shelley. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to services. Interment will be in the Taylor Cemetery.
