Wayne L. Madsen

Wayne Leon Madsen, 65, of Shelley, passed away June 5, 2006 at his home under the care of Hands of Hope Hospice.

He was born July 7, 1940 at Riverside, Idaho to L.P. and Mabel Bassett Madsen.  He attended Basalt Elementary School and graduated from Firth High School in 1958.  He always lived on a farm.  As an adult he farmed and raised Beef Cows.

On January 17, 1986, Wayne married Marjorie Jean Walton at Idaho Falls, Idaho.  Marj had two sons who Wayne was happy to be a father figure to.

He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Wayne enjoyed hunting, fishing, working, and spending time with family, he had a great sense of humor and was an honest gentleman.

He is survived by his wife, Marjorie Madsen of Shelley, ID, Son, Jeff (Patti) Tschikof of Idaho Falls, ID, two brothers, LeRoy (Katy) Madsen and Paul (Ila) Madsen both of Shelley, ID and three grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one son, Ricky Tschikof.

Funeral services will be held Thursday June 8th at 11:00 A.M. at the Goshen Ward Chapel (792 North 1090 East) with Bishop Bill Brown conducting. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening 7:00 till 8:30 P.M. at Nalder Funeral Home (110 W. Oak) in Shelley and Thursday morning 9:30 till 10:40 A.M. at the church. Interment will be at the Shelley Hillcrest Cemetery.
