Gay Kelsey Peterslie, 93, of Idaho Falls passed away March 24, 2013 at Life Care Center.
She was born on April 18, 1919 to Willard and Jeannette Morgan in Shelton. Her early years were spent in Pocatello.
After her father’s death in 1932, she and her brother, Verle Morgan moved with their mother to Shelley.
She graduated from Shelley High School and married Max Kelsey in 1937. They resided on a farm southwest of Shelley where their four children were born and raised. In 1989, they relocated to Idaho Falls.
She was employed by Mallory’s Deptartment Store for 14 years and completed her career after 25 years with the Idaho First National Bank.
Her husband of 54 years passed away in November of 1991. She married Al Peterslie in December of 1992. He passed away in March of 2001.
She is survived by her children, Larry (Margaret) Kelsey of Blackfoot; Lanny (Shirley) Kelsey of Anchorage, Alaska; Linda (Lloyd) Stanger of Idaho Falls; and Ann Kelsey of Idaho Falls; two stepdaughters, Donna Ellis of Rexburg; Cheryl Peterslie of Butte, MT; one brother, Jerry (Shelda) Peterson of Lehi, Utah; nine grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands, and a brother, Verle Morgan.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Thursday, March 28, 2013 at Nalder Funeral Home, 110 W Oak, in Shelley. The family will meet with friends Thursday morning from 9:30 till 10:40 A.M. at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Shelley Hillcrest Cemetery.
