William LeRoy Mathews

William LeRoy Mathews, 57, of Firth, passed away on January 19, 2024.

Roy was born November 13, 1966 in Pocatello, Idaho to William Henry Mathews and Martha Jane Reese Mathews.

Roy married Michelle Burke on December 31, 1990. To this union there were four children born, William, Connie, Ashley and Caroline. They were later divorced.

Roy worked for Randy Call Painting for many years. Roy loved spending time with his family. He enjoyed hunting, camping, fishing and sitting around the fire “sucking on a cold one.” His favorite saying was “I’ll kick your butt to China.” Roy was the favorite uncle to all his nieces and nephews.

Roy is survived by his daughter, Ashley Mathews, his siblings, Paula Elmer, Rene Osman, John Mathews, Paul Mathews, Johna Blaylock and Felecia Steed.

He was preceded in death by his parents, children: William, Connie and Caroline and his siblings; Audrey Mathews and Dixie McLean.

Roy will surely be missed and we hope he will be welcomed in the loving arms of his children, and best brothers-in-law RV and Troy.

A celebration of life will be held in the spring at Felecia Steeds house. Some of his ashes will be put under a red rose bush in his favorite spot in the yard.
